"Hi", my name is Tim Webb and I am the owner of Tim Webb Advertising.

Tim Webb Advertising is an online portfolio featuring logo designs, illustrations, web site designs, and a variety of other design projects done by Tim Webb. I'm an illustrator by training, a graphic designer by choice and a salesman by necessity. I combine all three of these skills to help small businesses with small budgets compete against big businesses with big budgets.

I'm not cheap (but I am affordable). If you're choosing your designer based on price, I'm probably not your guy. If you want a cheap logo, illustration or website there are lots of big online design companies that churn out template websites and clip art logo designs. But as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for" and in the case of business branding and marketing design you often end up "paying for what you get"!

My Design Process

It’s of benefit for prospective clients to have an overview of my methods, and here I divide the design process into a number of sections, giving you a look at how I work.

The design brief
The importance of a detailed brief cannot be underestimated. A solid design brief ensures that no time is wasted, and that you receive targeted design options from the outset. The brief helps me focus attention on the areas that best serve your business, ensuring the final result is appropriate and effective.
I approach every new project with the aim of creating my best designyet. Your completed questionnaire will generate further questions, as I work towards fully understanding your needs.

Research and brainstorming
I spend some time considering your answers, and then begin the second stage — research and brainstorming. What do I take into account here? Your competition, trends in the market, what sets you apart, your history, your future, your current brand, and the one you aspire towards.
Again, it’s important to provide as much information as possible in the logo design brief / questionnaire, to allow for a comprehensive approach towards research and brainstorming.

Sketching
Sketching ideas helps me to generate a large number of possible directions. Most of them will eventually be made redundant, but the point is to think laterally and not rule anything out in the quest for effective design .

Rendering / prototype design
Taking my ideas and transferring them to computer / Adobe Illustrator. The majority of my clients want to see two or three logo design variations. This is by no means set in stone, and depends entirely upon the project scope.

Creative presentation / client feedback
Your logo options are sent via PDF file, as polished ideas. They’ll be formatted in black-on-white helping you to concentrate on the shape and form of your logo, and not become distracted by easily-changed aesthetics. Color, if used, is left until the end stages.
Now it’s over to you to spend some time thinking about what I’ve provided. I always welcome questions or possible suggestions.

Finishing touches / revisions
Following your review, I’ll then either finalize the identity, or make any revisions suggested. My main aim is to create a corporate identity that works for you, works for your business, and works for many years to come, so there’ll always be flexibility in my process.

File creation and supply
Once finalized, I create vector artwork and send files via email.
Vector files (mainly used for printed projects) can be scaled to any size without loss of quality, unlike a raster file (mainly used online), which becomes pixilated when enlarged.
I supply original files for use in print and online. If you have any specific file requirements, just ask.

Optional business stationery
The logos I design are used for a wide variety of purposes. You can see them on websites, business cards, vehicles and billboards. Should you require further business collateral please do let me know.

Customer service
My service to you doesn’t end once you’ve paid the final installment. Many of my clients keep in touch, be it to ask my opinion on design, to provide examples of their logo in context, or just to say hi. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon!
